We use a lot of energy, work, and natural resources to prepare food. But, nowadays, if the food doesn`t fit some aesthetic patterns it is thrown away even when it`s still fit to eat. From the fields to the plate, farmers, dealers, companies, and consumers can solve this problem with a simple and fun solution.
After the screening of Italian documentary The Slow Food Story – about the foundation of the movement contrary to fast food – activist from the Slow Food Rio will debate with the audience, to help us reflect about this issue and to introduce the ideals of the campaign DiscoXepa: food quality and non-waste.
Afterwards everyone is invited to taste the food prepared by the chefs volunteers of the Slow Food Rio with waste collected at the Municipal Food Market.
