Workshop Food: Zero Waste

Foodwaste is a result of the current economic model that affects several areas including food production. According to statistics from FAO, one third of all food produced worldwide is wasted throughout the supply chain. As a way to combat and minimize adverse impacts, Slow Food believes that local awareness actions can be the key to a paradigm shift. Worldwide and in many ways, countries, institutions, and communities are mobilizing against food waste. The culinary workshops for taste education and full use of food are a form of awareness.

Nave de Con hecimentoThe workshops will be held at Naves do Conhecimento Triagem and Padre Miguel by the SlowFood Rio Zona Norte crew Carol Sá, Amanda Villares and Leticia da Cruz.
