Large-scale exploitation of minerals, the construction of immense plantations and tremendous infrastructure projects have resulted in the fact that these people have been and still are driven from their homes. Following the charismatic leadership of Rajagopal, pioneer and founder of the movement, they unite and decide to fight for an honored existence. They march 400 kilometers, from Gwalior to Delhi. They will persevere and only return home once the government heeds their demands.

Steps a journey to the edge of climate change

2013 | Switzerland | Doc | 50min

The documentary dives into the world of people whose deep connection to the mountains ties them together.  Worried about impending climate change, they are looking for an alternative way to pursue their passion in harmony with nature and experience the mountains in an ecologically sustainable way.  Instead of flying around the world in pursuit of snow, they explore the Alps at their doorstep. They travel using public transportation and climb the highest, most impressive peaks on their own before beginning their spectacular descents and jumps. Their thought-provoking comments about the effects of climate change and the fascination and freedom of snowboarding and skiing leave the viewer questioning their own approach to winter sports and everyday life.
